Who operates the service
Fair Price Checks is operated by MeasureHub, a New Zealand quantity surveying and pricing business. The service is independent of the supplier whose quote you upload.
What the service provides
An indicative comparison using available pricing information, regional context and the details visible in the uploaded quote. The first result is normally delivered by email within minutes, but timing can vary with payment confirmation, file quality, quote complexity and service availability. Results are guidance only, not a valuation, fixed price, warranty or guarantee of market price, savings or supplier performance.
Information and changing prices
The result depends on the quote being complete and accurate. Prices can change with timing, availability, location, taxes, site conditions, specifications and work not shown in the quote. We may identify an item as unable to be checked where reliable comparison information is not available.
Not professional advice
The service does not replace a quantity surveyor, engineer, lawyer, accountant, licensed trade professional or other qualified local adviser where formal advice is appropriate.
Independence and suppliers
We are not the supplier's agent, do not enter the contract between you and the supplier, and do not endorse or certify the supplier or its work. The supplier remains responsible for its quote, services, workmanship and contractual obligations.
Your uploads and decisions
You must have the right to upload the document and must avoid including information that is not needed for the check. You are responsible for checking the quote, asking for clarification and obtaining qualified advice where appropriate before making a purchasing or contracting decision.
Payments and service issues
The applicable local fee and currency are shown before payment. Stripe processes card payments. If checkout is cancelled, no charge is made. Contact us promptly about a duplicate or incorrect charge, or if a paid result is not delivered. Refund rights under applicable consumer law are not limited by these terms.
Liability and mandatory rights
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Fair Price Checks and MeasureHub are not responsible for indirect or consequential loss, supplier acts or omissions, price or market changes after the result, incomplete or inaccurate information in the uploaded quote, or using an indicative result in place of advice that should reasonably be obtained from a qualified professional. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any statutory consumer guarantee, remedy or other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
Applicable law
The service is operated from New Zealand and these terms are governed by New Zealand law. This does not remove any mandatory consumer rights or protections that apply in the country or state where you live.
